T-Shape 2 Body Contouring

The flagship device at Agape, used for the concerns that weight loss alone does not reach.

  • Tone
  • Skin Laxity
  • Firming
The T-Shape 2 platform: a tall, rounded white console with a touchscreen and two handpieces on either side.

T-Shape 2 is a non-invasive aesthetic platform designed to address four related concerns: body contouring, skin tightening, the appearance of cellulite, and skin rejuvenation. It is the device this side of the practice was built around, and it is the one most often discussed with patients who have finished the weight-loss work and want to address what is left.

It requires no incisions and no anaesthetic. Sessions are delivered in the office and you leave and continue your day.

What it is designed to do

The platform combines several modalities in a single system, and the combination used is selected for the concern being treated rather than applied uniformly.

  • Body contouring — treatment of localised areas that have not responded to diet and activity
  • Skin tightening — addressing the firmness of skin over a treated area
  • Cellulite — targeting the dimpled appearance created by the fibrous structure beneath the skin
  • Skin rejuvenation — addressing the texture and tone of treated skin

What a session is like

A handpiece is moved over the treatment area. Most patients describe the sensation as warmth with some pressure, and comfort varies with the area treated and with the individual — tell the person treating you if it is more than that, because the settings are adjustable.

Sessions are scheduled as a course rather than singly. The number depends on the area and on what is being addressed, and it is discussed with you at consultation before anything begins.

Being straight about results

Individual results vary, and no responsible practice can tell you in advance what yours will be. What is offered is a candid assessment at consultation of whether this treatment is designed for the concern you are bringing — and whether it is likely to give you what you are hoping for.

T-Shape 2 is not a weight-loss treatment and is not offered as an alternative to one. It is a contouring and skin treatment, which is a different job. For patients whose goal is weight, the medical weight loss side of this practice is the honest answer.

T-Shape 2 is a named treatment platform, and this page describes what it is designed to do. Individual results vary, and whether it is appropriate for you is decided at a consultation rather than from a web page.

The platform

One console. Four technologies.

How it works

Used together, or apart.

T-Shape 2 combines four technologies in a single platform. Each can be used on its own or alongside the others, which is how a session is shaped to the area being treated.

  • Low-level laser

Low-intensity laser light, designed to support the skin’s own renewal. The gentlest of the four, and usually one part of a combined session rather than a treatment on its own.

  • Bipolar radiofrequency

Radiofrequency energy at three adjustable levels, designed to stimulate collagen — the protein that keeps skin firm. The part of the platform aimed at skin laxity.

  • Vacuum-assisted massage

Endodermic massage with four suction modes, designed to work the tissue beneath the skin. The part of a session most concerned with contour and the appearance of cellulite.

  • Mesospheric massage

A handpiece of rotating spheres, designed for a deep, rhythmic massage of the treatment area.

Questions about T-Shape 2 Body Contouring

Is T-Shape 2 a weight loss treatment?

No. It is a body contouring and skin treatment, designed for the appearance and firmness of a treated area. If your goal is weight, the medical weight loss programs at this practice are the appropriate starting point — and the two are often sequenced, weight first.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the area and the concern, and it is decided at consultation rather than assumed. Treatment is planned as a course, and you will be told the expected number before you begin.

What does it feel like?

Most patients describe warmth with some pressure. Sensation varies between individuals and between areas, and the settings can be adjusted during the session — say so if you are uncomfortable.

Is there downtime?

The treatment is non-invasive and patients typically return to their usual activities the same day. Any specific aftercare for your treatment area is given to you at your appointment.

Am I a candidate?

That is decided at a consultation, against your medical history and what you are hoping to change. Part of the value of consulting first is being told when a treatment is unlikely to give you what you want.
