Professional Skincare

A short routine you will keep to beats a long one you will abandon.

What happens between appointments does more for your skin than what happens during them. Professional-grade products carry higher concentrations of active ingredients than most retail equivalents, which makes them more effective and also makes the order and frequency of use matter considerably more.

Recommendations here are made after your skin is assessed, and they are built to be kept to. A three-step routine you follow every night is worth more than an eight-step one abandoned in a fortnight.

What you already own

Bring your current products, or photographs of them, to your consultation. Frequently the problem is not what is missing but a conflict between two things already in use, or an active applied too often for the skin barrier to keep up.

You will be told when something you own is working, and when a purchase is not worth making. Products are recommended because they suit your skin, not because a routine has a set number of steps.

Questions about Professional Skincare

Do I have to buy a full routine?

No. Recommendations are made for what your skin needs, and often that means keeping most of what you already use and changing one or two things.

How is professional-grade skincare different?

Concentrations of active ingredients are generally higher than in retail products. That makes them more effective and also means the way they are used — order, frequency, what they are combined with — matters more.

How soon will I see a difference?

Skin turns over on a cycle of several weeks, so most changes take at least that long to become visible, and some take longer. Anything promising a difference overnight is selling you something.
