Aesthetic Services

Aesthetic services, in a physician-led practice

Treatments for skin and body chosen for what they can actually do — explained plainly, delivered carefully, and never oversold.

The aesthetics side of Agape exists because the two halves of this practice belong together. Body composition changes as weight changes, and skin responds to both. Patients working on their weight often find that what bothers them at the end is not the number — it is the texture, the laxity, or the one area that did not follow the rest.

Those are the concerns this side of the practice was built for. Treatments are selected at a consultation, against what you want to change and what a given service is realistically able to influence.

Careful about what we promise

Aesthetic medicine has a marketing problem, and patients are right to be wary of it. This practice takes a deliberately conservative line: services are described by what they are designed to do, results are described as varying between individuals, and suitability is decided in person rather than assumed from a web page.

If a treatment is unlikely to give you what you are hoping for, the useful thing we can do is say so at the consultation — before you have paid for a series of them.

The flagship device

T-Shape 2

The platform the aesthetics side of this practice was built around — designed for body contouring, skin tightening, the appearance of cellulite and skin rejuvenation, and delivered as a course of sessions.

What patients come to us with

Concerns we work on

Loose or lax skin

Common after weight loss and with age, as collagen and elastin decline. Several services on this side of the practice are designed to address skin firmness.

Cellulite

The dimpled texture created by fibrous bands beneath the skin. It is extremely common, largely structural, and a target of body contouring rather than of weight loss.

Stubborn areas that resist diet and exercise

Fat distribution is largely genetic, which is why an otherwise successful effort can leave one area unchanged.

Body changes after weight loss, aging or pregnancy

The body does not always settle back into its previous shape, and what is left at the end of a successful effort is often not a matter of weight at all.

Fine lines and wrinkles

Addressed through resurfacing and consistent professional skincare, usually over a course of treatments rather than one.

Sun damage and uneven pigmentation

Years of accumulated exposure show as tone rather than as texture. Daily protection is part of every treatment plan here, not an afterthought to one.

Acne and skin imperfections

Active breakouts change what is appropriate and when, which is why skin is assessed on the day rather than a protocol being applied to it.

Dull, dehydrated or uneven skin

Texture, tone and clarity respond to resurfacing and to a routine you will actually keep to. Your skin is looked at before anything is recommended.

Unwanted hair

Managed with Splendor X laser hair removal or professional waxing, for the face and body, on skin that is assessed before it is treated.

Acne scars, enlarged pores and stretch marks

Texture concerns that sit below the surface, and the reason ResurFX is on this list: it is designed to work on collagen rather than on the surface alone.

Questions about aesthetic services

Do I need to be a weight-loss patient to book an aesthetic treatment?

Not at all. The two sides of the practice share a consultation process and a physician, but you are welcome to come for aesthetic services alone.

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

That is what the consultation is for. You will be asked what you want to change, and told which services are designed to address it — including when the honest answer is that none of them will.

Are treatments performed under physician oversight?

Yes. This is a physician-led practice, and Dr. Curtis oversees the aesthetic services offered here.

How many sessions will I need?

Most treatments here are designed as a course rather than a single visit, and the number depends on the service and on what you are addressing. You will be given a plan and a rough number at your consultation, not after you have started.
